Privacy Policy

Last updated July 20, 2026

This policy explains what information dotnet-talk.com collects, why, and what choices you have. dotnet-talk is a personal engineering blog and consultancy operated by Mehdi Mohseni. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site and respond to you.

Who we are

The site is run by Mehdi Mohseni (dotnet-talk), based in Sweden. For any privacy question or request, contact mehdi.mohseni@dotnet-talk.com.

What we collect

  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand which articles are read and how visitors find the site. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them in the consent banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are stored.
  • Contact form. If you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you submit, so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.
  • Demo signups. If you request a live product demo (for example OpenPulse), we collect the name and email you provide to create a temporary demo account. Demo passwords are generated on the fly and never stored.
  • Server logs. Like most websites, our servers keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability. Demo requests are rate-limited by IP to prevent abuse.

We do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising or third-party ad tracking.

Cookies and consent

The site sets no non-essential cookies until you accept them. You can decline analytics at any time, and only the cookies strictly needed for the site to function will be used. Clearing your browser cookies resets your choice.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate the site. Each only receives the data needed for its function:

  • Google Analytics. Aggregated site-usage measurement, only after you consent.
  • Email delivery. Transactional email (for example demo credentials and contact replies) is sent through an email service provider.
  • LinkedIn. When we publish an article, we may share it to our own LinkedIn presence through LinkedIn's official API. This does not collect any data about you as a visitor.

How long we keep it

Contact messages and demo-signup records are kept only as long as needed for the purpose they were collected, then removed. Temporary demo accounts expire automatically. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you, and you can withdraw analytics consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email mehdi.mohseni@dotnet-talk.com and we will respond promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The date at the top reflects the most recent change. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
